All’s well that ends well

Read the text and listen to the audio. Pay special attention to the pronunciation and to the expressions in bold.

Hello everybody,
A few days ago I told you about an accident I had. As a result of the accident, my bumper [=paraurti] was scratched [=graffiato] on the right-hand side.

Luckily, the person who caused the accident was nice and reasonable [=ragionevole], and his insurance company [=assicurazione] paid to repair the damage.

Now, I should also tell you that before the accident, the left-hand side of my bumper was already scratched, and now, after the repairs, my bumper is as good as new [=come nuovo]. No scratches, left or right!!

So I guess I should thank the guy who bumped into my car.

All’s well that ends well!

By the way, people say “all’s well that ends well” when an unpleasant situation in the end resulted in good things. It is also the title of a comedy by William Shakespeare.

See you around!
Simona
